Thousand Islands Starts to Impose Social Sanctions on PSBB Violators

After socializing Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) to the residents, Thousand Islands Regency will impose sanctions for those who violate the regulations.

Joint personnel will patrol every day in all inhabited islands

Thousand Islands Satpol PP Head, Rahmat Lubis conveyed, sanctions will be imposed to the violators based on the Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 41/2020 concerning Imposition of Sanctions Against PSBB Violations in Handling COVID-19 after his side conducted simultaneous PSBB socialization yesterday.

He reminded all residents to follow PSBB regulations by decreasing activities outside and always wearing mask.

Five Rebuked for Violating PSBB in Taman Sari

"If we found any residents who don't wear mask and gather in one place, we will impose social sanctions by having them clean public facilities," he stated, Saturday (5/16),

In imposing the sanctions, his side ensured to do it in persuasive and humane ways. Violators will be given mask, recorded, and cleaned public facilities while wearing orange vest that written 'PELANGGAR PERDA' or 'Regulation Violators'. He hopes this treatment can give deterrent effect for the violators.
